GP Deep Dives - a Public Services Delivery (PDS Scotland) resource

GP Deep Dives is a channel aimed at GP registrars and primary care clinicians based in Scotland. Each series focuses on a complex clinical subject encountered in primary care. These subjects are explored in depth via interviews with experts and people with lived experience. The episodes are organised into series:

Series 1, Transgender Healthcare, equips GP registrars and clinicians working in primary care with the knowledge and confidence to provide high-quality care for transgender and non-binary patients. Over the course 9 episodes we speak to experts in this field and people with lived experience of accessing transgender healthcare in Scotland.

Series 2, Providing Care for People Who Use Drugs, explores how GP trainees and primary care clinicians can improve the care they provide for people who use drugs. From harm reduction and prescribing to trauma-informed care and tackling stigma, these 3 episodes combine practical guidance, expert insight, and lived-experience perspectives to strengthen clinicians' confidence, knowledge, and clinical skills in providing care for people who use drugs.

Both series were developed by PSD Scotland GP Fellows Dr Cat Lyth and Dr Samuel Glass. Find out more about our Fellows.
